Windy Sunday

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen!

EN Ooops! Exactly one month since my last post. I don't want to make excuses, I just spent my weekends with other things like traveling and visiting friends. New Year's resolution no.1: more posts! :-) But now on to my outfit: Today was one of those cold and windy winter Sundays so most of the day I stayed inside my apartement cuddling, watching TV, reading. When my boyfriend and I decided to go to our favorite Irish pub for a beer, I wanted to feel comfortable and warm but still be edgy and fashionable.

Russian Roses

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen!

EN It's been awfully quiet on here the past days...unfortunately a few days ago I became ill and didn't really have the energy (or the looks) for taking pictures. The outfit you see today is actually from last week, but I absolutely loved wearing it: at the moment I'm really into fur and folkloric prints and the rose dress and the jacket match my obsession perfectly. I don't exactly know where the dress came from, my mom gave it to me, so it's possible she brought it from Russia. In fact I have this romantic story in my head about the dress being a family treasure, how my mom got it and how she smuggled it from Russia to Germany...:-)

The Czarevna

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen!

EN Last Friday I left work for the day a little earlier than usual and went on a stroll through the boutiques. I found this nice black headband and thought it would be perfect for keeping my ears warm without messing up my hair. For a touch of glamor I also bought a golden ornamented hair-clip and attached it to the bandeau. In my opinion my creation felt kinda 1920s, but when I visited my sister at work the next day, one of her colleagues said: "Hey, the Czar called and wants his headband back!" Since my parents are from Russia, I felt that going out for coffee in a Russian inspired outfit was a great idea!

Marine Oxblood

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen! The day after Halloween was a pretty lazy day for us and since I was not in the mood for cooking we decided to go out for dinner an a drink. When I opened my closet the first piece that caught my attention was the striped shirt. In spring and early summer I loved wearing it with the navy blue blazer, a pair of shorts, bright red ballerinas and red lipstick. For the fall version of the marine look, I paired the shirt and blazer with jeans, dark red lips and my new oxblood suede boots.

Dark Desires

Hey there lovely ladies and gentlemen! In my last post I talked about having/not having the balls for fashion. For this post I decided to show at least a little bit courage by taking an outfit I would typically wear at work and jazzing it up with statement earrings, studded boots, dark lipstick and some attitude! :-)What are your secrets for spicing up your look?

Vintage Flowers

Hey there lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen! Do you know those pieces that you absolutely LOVE...but never wear, either because you don't know how to combine them or because you just don't have the balls to wear them in public (maybe because - just like me - you live in a small town where everybody's staring at you whenever you dress different or fashion forward :-)). Well, that's what happened with me and this beautiful floral skirt...

My mom gave it to me in spring and since then I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. Today I got tired of waiting and decided to just put on that goddamn skirt and go for a walk! :-)

The worst post in fashion blog history

Hey there, lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen! Do you know this feeling when you have an outfit for going out in mind and in your imagination it looks very cool: cute, edgy, modern,.... And then you go out and take pictures an realize: This is a train wreck! That's what happened to me. After this joyful shooting I realized that my hair is a complete mess, I forgot to put on blush, the pullover makes me look fat and my undershirt is sticking out in some of the pictures. And what is the best way to deal with a fashion mess like this? Right, make a stupid GIF!

If you are still interested in what I'm actually wearing - after the jump!

I hauled a lot and I liked it!

Hey guys! Today I want to show some stuff I got over the last week. Last Wednesday was the German national holiday, so all the shops were closed. But luckily I live near the border to France, so my family and I went to Straßburg for shopping. Some of the things shown I got there, others I just picked up at my local drugstore/department store/H&M..

Evoluderm Lotion Tonique | OPI Goldeneye & Every month is Oktoberfest | Claire's hair thingy & lashes | MAC Lippencil Beet, Lipsticks Deeply Adored & Love Goddess | Urban Decay Primer Potion | L'Oreal Préférence Extreme Platinum & Pastel Conditioner Soft Lilac

The Evoluderm Lotion Tonique is from a store called Saga: they sell all kinds of cosmetics and brushes, from NIVEA to Bourjois. Everything seems to be a lot cheaper than in drugstores, so I suppose they buy large amounts from closures of other stores and sell them very cheap. I got the 500 ml bottle of toner for only 3 €. Can't yet tell if it's good but it smells very nice like roses. The hair thingy from Claire's is like a bun donut but straight for French twists etc. Haven't tried it yet, but if it works maybe I will show some hairstyles. The one thing I was actually most excited about is the L'Oreal Préférence Pastel Conditioner. I tried it yesterday. See the result after the jump...

Gloomy Sunday with a special guest

Hey guys! The past weekends have been very warm and sunny, but today is a typical autumn-sunday: gloomy, grey and cold. But hey, nothing can bring me down: I went for a walk with my man, discovered some new places and location for future photo-session and just enjoyed the afternoon. Hope you had a nice weekend, too!

Wishlist OOctober 2012

...'cause you just might get it. Well, that's what the Pussycat Dolls say. In case of my autumn wishlist, I really wouldn't mind getting what I wish for. Mmmhhh, not sure if you can tell, but I have this *slight* obsession with the color red....

Thierry Mugler: Alien Essence Absolue | MAC: Russian Red | a nice belted red dress (this one is Ted Baker) | black ankle boots (these are Michael Kors) | a red coat for fall and winter (this one is from Warehouse)

Working Girl

Hey guys! How are you? Lately I've been very busy working and so I've been trying to use every Saturday and Sunday for dressing up and taking pictures. While I am desperately waiting for fall and winter to begin (can't wait to wear my jewel-toned outfits), here I am in my favorite role: as myself - a modern working girl! Luckily I don't  have to dress too formal for work, so I can wear rather  casual outfits and add a touch of business with a nice blazer, handbag or high heels.

Dolce Vita

Hey there! This is my very very very ready-to-wear interpretation of the La Dolce Vita campaign for Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2012 collection. Instead of using floral prints and golden ornamented jewellery, I decided to keep it simple with just a black dress and mainly black and brown accessories. So it turned out more like a look for a Sicilian funeral than for a happy Italian family meeting...
